National Haitian Heritage Month kicked off with a party in Brooklyn last week with Rasin @ The Junction, a concert and dance party put on by the Haitian Heritage Parade Committee in partnership with The Melanin Project, The Flatbush Junction Business Improvement District and other community stakeholders.
Parade Preview & Volunteer Drive at Brooklyn College

The Haitian Heritage Parade Committee in partnership with Brooklyn College's Greek Council and S.A.I.L. office organized a parade preview and volunteer drive for local CUNY students and faculty interested in learning more and volunteering with the parade. The event featured performances from Riva Nyri, E-Uneek Kebreau, and an address by Haiti's Director General of Ethnology and Parade Curator Erol Josue.
